1925 Morris Cowley Bullnose 4-seater tourer. Chassis No. 85706. Engine No. 98421.The Bullnose was purchased in 1971 by my wife’s late father and given to her when she was nine. It was her job to keep it clean and polished! From then on, she was always referred to as Betsy. She was taken to many shows, family outings and used as a wedding car. First registered in East Sussex Betsy spent her life in Sussex and Kent. Betsy was always dry garaged. She needs some attention to the engine, which does run, and some paintwork needs redoing. The tyres would need replacing also due to age related perishing. It does have a new hood and side screens. We are reluctantly selling Betsy as we no longer have the space to store her safely. She has been in the family for 54 years so it will be sad to see her go! Sensible offers are invited.
1925 Bullnose Cowley Coupe 2-seater with dicky. Chassis No.112221. Engine No. 400673. One of the BNMC founding cars from the first gathering in 1952. Runs well and recently had an engine rebuild. New tyres from Long- stone. Bodywork is fair and the interior is looking a little tired, but the car is great fun, and we have had many happy outings. There is a spare engine plus some other parts to accompany the car which is priced to sell
1929 Morris Cowley saloon. Very presentable good-looking car inside and out. Although not concours it runs well. I have owned this car for some 35 years. Inside reupholstered (although there are differences to the standard in the provision of rear arm rests) and roof recovered. The engine that came with it was a marine type, and I replaced it with an age-related correct ex- ample. Recent work has included re-tensioning the front springs, reboring the cylinders and fitting new pistons (still needs running in) and replacing the Lucas mag with a Simms commercial type and a light overhaul of the dynamotor. Oil pressure is excellent, charging good, and cooling system watertight. Original Lucas electric windscreen wiper operates. Nickel radiator, and nickel fittings, also functioning Lucas vacuum headlamp dipping mechanism. Minor work to be done on paintwork here and there. A few small spares go with the car including a spare Simms type magneto which needs attention.
